Six in ten working people in this country are employed by a small business. Small businesses drive innovation, anchor local communities, and underpin 50%+ of our economic output. And yet, when Budgets are made and policies are set, the needs of small business are too often an afterthought — considered in principle, underdelivered in practice.
We think that needs to change.
 
Introducing the Small Business Collective
Despite your importance in the economy, you don't really get a say in how it's run.
The Collective is a group designed to change that, by turning the real priorities of our 100,000+ subscribers into a clear, evidence-based voice that can't be ignored.
The Collective is made up of all of you, our end-users — spanning all sectors, business sizes, and regions, it's truly representative. You are the voice of the project.
This is not a talking shop. It's a mechanism for action, which we will invest in through PR, media, one to one outreach to key figures and exposure with through our partners and channels.
 
How it works
Through regular questionnaires — our Small Business Pulse — press outreach, guest expertise, and direct engagement with decision-makers, we turn the fragmented concerns of small business owners into a single, structured, unmissable agenda.

The results of every Pulse are published publicly and delivered directly to the government figures and senior decision-makers who need to hear them. We set targets, assign actions, track progress, and report back — to our community and to the wider public.

One goal: fight for the needs, conditions, and recognition that let small business growth fuel the UK.
